This paper introduces a unique database and data system—Triangle Genesis Data System—that contains more than 50 years of data captured from greater than 30 distinct data sources on approximately 4500 companies in the RTP region. Our data system addresses major data science challenges related to data curation, management, integration, visualization, and governance. Herein, we describe our experience with the research, development, deployment, and testing of the Triangle Genesis Data System.
