Carolina Data Science Now: LIVE — School of Data Science and Society

September 12, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

On September 12 at 12 PM ET, please join Carolina Data Science Now for its first in-person event “LIVE: School of Data Science and Society.” The team is delighted to work with Carolina Performing Arts to present this special event at the UNC CURRENT ArtSpace + Studio, in the heart of Chapel Hill — 123 W. Franklin Street, on the first floor of Building C in Carolina Square. They invite those attending in-person to join us for light refreshments after the event. If you are planning to attend the event in-person, they encourage you to register as soon as possible to ensure accommodations.

Carolina Data Science Now is looking forward to hosting Dr. Stan Ahalt, the Inaugural Dean of the School of Data Science and Society, in conversation with very special guests Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz, Interim Vice Chancellor for Research Penny Gordon-Larsen, and Assistant Professor of Art and Art History Kathryn Desplanque. With a nod to the Carolina Data Science Now online format, they’ll host their special guests for lightning talks with Dr. Ahalt followed by lively Q&A discussion kicked off by the leaders of Carolina Analytics and Data Science.

Additionally, the team plans to livestream the event on the School of Data Science and Society’s YouTube channel. Closed caption services will be provided for the livestream event. This event will be recorded, and the link will be shared with those who register in advance.
