On October 27 at 12 PM ET, please join Carolina Data Science Now for “Unearthing Environmental Impact.” The event will feature three lightning talks by professors and researchers in UNC-Chapel Hill’s academic community, centered around how data science is used to study, impact, and improve the environment.
Speakers will include Brian Blanton (RENCI), Gregory Characklis (Environmental Sciences + Engineering, Center on Financial Risk in Environmental Systems, and the Institute for the Environment), and Angel Hsu (Public Policy, Environment, Ecology + Energy Program, and the Data-Driven EnviroLab).
These talks will be followed by a guided panel, an opportunity for questions and answers with the speakers, and a discussion with the data science community at UNC-Chapel Hill.
