On May 26 at 12 PM (EST), please join Carolina Data Science Now for “Improving Health Outcomes”. The event will feature three lightning talks by professors and researchers in UNC-Chapel Hill’s academic community, centered around how data science is used to prevent, address, and develop solutions for long-lasting health issues.
The seminar will be moderated by Professor Kari North, a genetic epidemiologist and Director of the CVD Genetic Epidemiology Computational Laboratory in the Gillings School of Public Health. Speakers will include Chris Bizon (Renaissance Computing Institute), Dr. Nabarun Dasgupta (Injury Prevention Research Center & Gillings Innovation Fellow), and Dr. Naim Rashid (Biostatistics & Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center).
These talks will be followed by a guided panel, an opportunity for questions and answers with the speakers, and a discussion with the data science community at UNC-Chapel Hill.
