The Microsoft Biology Initiative will hold a two-day workshop on the Microsoft Biology Foundation (MBF), an open source Microsoft .NET library and application programming interface for bioinformatics research, April 19 and 20.
The workshop will take place at RENCI (Renaissance Computing Institute), 100 Europa Drive, Suite 540, Chapel Hill, NC. The workshop is free and open to all, although seating is limited. The workshop consists of six modules developed by the MBF and includes lectures and hands-on sessions for each module. Module topics are Introduction to Visual Studio 2010 and C#, Introduction to MBF, Working with Sequences, Parsers and Formatters, Algorithms and Web Services.
