On July 28 at 12 PM ET, please join Carolina Data Science Now for “Data Science: Zero-To-Sixty.” The event will feature three lightning talks by professors and researchers in UNC-Chapel Hill’s academic community, centered around how data science is used to provide education and training resources that allow practitioners to accelerate research in cyberinfrastructure and computing, data sharing and storage, team science, and more.
The seminar will be moderated by Ashok Krishnamurthy, the Interim Director of the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) and a Research Professor of Computer Science. Speakers will include Dr. Todd BenDor (Odum Institute, Carolina Planning, & Institute for the Environment), Dr. Kira Bradford (RENCI), and Isma Gilani (RENCI).
These talks will be followed by a guided panel, an opportunity for questions and answers with the speakers, and a discussion with the data science community at UNC-Chapel Hill.
