Biography

Linda B. Hayden is the Director of the Elizabeth City State University Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER). She is a professor in the department of mathematics and computer science, author of numerous articles and funded proposals, and is the recipient of the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring. In addition to her regular teaching duties, Hayden serves as co-director for the NSF CI-TEAM (Cyberinfrastructure-Training, Education, Advancement and Mentoring) Project and as co-principal investigator for the PolarGrid Project.
