Title: NU-TECH 2010 Showcase: Investing in Collaborative Technologies in Life Science, Biotechnology and Engineering

Carolina faculty members involved in research and development in biomedical and life sciences, biotechnology and engineering are invited to attend this showcase on cutting edge technologies, presented by Nagoya University.
More than 20 life science, biotech and engineering technologies will be showcased from Nagoya University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, and East Carolina University.
Attendees will also learn about collaborative strategies from industry and government leaders including:
- Keith Crisco, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Commerce
- Ray Wood, Vice President of Pharmaceutical and Analytical Research and Development for Eisai, Inc. (patented medications)
- Masao Ando, President of EQUOS Research and Director of Aisin AW (vehicle automatic transmissions and car navigation systems)
- Norris Tolson, President and CEO of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center
The showcase will include opportunities to meet the President and Vice-President of Nagoya University, Japan’s premier research university and home to four Nobel Prize winning professors in physics and chemistry, as well as to network with other R&D professionals.
