Description: The speaker is Bruce Glavovic of Massey University, New Zealand. Dr. Glavovic will be discussing his recent work on long-term recovery in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Glavovic will develop a joint research agenda focusing on climate change and hazards with Dr. Gavin Smith, Executive Director of the UNC-CH Hazards Center. The talk will be followed by an informal discussion with interested faculty and practitioners.
