RENCI to show the power of visual communications at lunchtime Bistro

Grad students named Masters Fellows by RENCI at ECU

GREENVILLE, NC, May 19, 2008 – East Carolina University students Robert Howard, geological sciences, and  Christopher Betancourt, biology, will become the first RENCI at ECU Masters Fellows. The one-semester fellowships for fall 2008 provide support for students’ thesis work.

Three NC counties win weather stations through RENCI competition

CHAPEL HILL, NC, May 5, 2008 – Three counties in North Carolina will soon have detailed information about the weather patterns in their region and new classroom curricula that uses real-time weather station information as a result of the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) Weather Web competition. The winners are Yancey, Hyde and Alexander counties.
