RENCI at East Carolina University’s (ECU) second annual Visualization Challenge, held March 25, featured presentations on the center’s 21-foot by 6-foot visualization wall on topics ranging from 3D archeological ship reconstruction to research into genetic diseases using fruit flies.

ECU students sought for second visualization challenge

The Renaissance Computing Institute at East Carolina University invites students to participate in a competition of innovative visualization using the RENCI at ECU visualization wall located in Brewster Hall C-202 on the ECU campus.

Grad students named Masters Fellows by RENCI at ECU

GREENVILLE, NC, May 19, 2008 – East Carolina University students Robert Howard, geological sciences, and  Christopher Betancourt, biology, will become the first RENCI at ECU Masters Fellows. The one-semester fellowships for fall 2008 provide support for students’ thesis work.
