Katrina Visualization Wins SciDAC “OASCR”
CHAPEL HILL, NC, July 18, 2008 –It wasn’t quite an Oscar, but a RENCI visualization by Steve Chall and Theresa-Marie Rhyne of RENCI’s NC State engagement center won top honors at the annual meeting of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC) program held in Seattle July 13 – 17.

RENCI partners on two DOE SciDAC awards
CHAPEL HILL, NC, September 11, 2006 — The Renaissance Computing Institute will play a key role in two national research projects that are among 30 computational science projects being supported by the Department of Energy’s Scientific Discovery (SciDAC) program.
